Basic Cruising Standard

Objective: To be able to cruise safely in local waters in moderate wind and sea conditions by day. Join us for a 5-day live-aboard sailing and learning experience with Capt. Mac’s School of Seamanship. Board our custom 42′ yacht Kinohi in Vancouver, B.C. to depart for the Gulf Islands. Learn boat handling under sail and power, boat safety, emergency procedures, anchoring, docking, navigation, seamanship and more.

Upon the completion of a practical skills evaluation and written Sail Canada (CYA) exam, successful candidates will be awarded the Sail Canada Basic Cruising Standard Certification.
